It's CM9 so its has any and all fixes/tweaks that the CM team has put into it. It also has gapps packaged in for this release, since we're increasing the system partition size, and this is easier, so users can start the rom with gapps.

Quick Question: I noticed that USB flash drives is back in the "not working" Column. Does this mean that this build does not support USB flash drives?

What about other USB peripherals, like USB keyboards or USB gamepads? Do those work in the new ICS Beta?

Correct. There was a issue with the usb on the kernel. Once its fixed we'll push out a update.

USB drives work fine for me on NI version. At least USB key auto-mapped fine as external1 and I was able to read/write from it.
Is there a difference between CM and NI release regarding /emmc and /sdcard mapping? Are they swapped or is it exactly the same?

EDIT : Tested the second USB drive as well, auto-mapped correctly as external2. USB keyboard and mouse work as well.

Probably swapped. I havent ran aosp for more than a little while. I'll have to look at the USB thing. Maybe rayman sent a updated package. EIther way I won't have time to look until later.

Edit: FIgured it out. The USB ports will work if plugged in at boot. If you try to plug them in later it'll be hit or miss. It's being looked at.
