Walmart Black Friday Tablet Deals

There will be several devices available at very low prices from Walmart starting Thursday 11.28, going through Sunday 12.1. While some of them are very low priced, it is for a good reason, they just aren’t very good. However, there are several decent tablet deals to be had.

One of the more intriguing tablets is the seven inch, 1024 x 600 resolution screen, HP 7.  Priced at $89, it has 8GB storage, expandable via a microsd card slot, and 1GB memory.   A front camera is good enough for Skyping, and it also has Bluetooth built in.  While the os is a little older, 4.1 Jelly Bean, that’s not the worst thing in the world.  What sets this apart is the processor-an Intel 1.6GHz Atom Z2460.  While an older version of the Atom line, it should be more than sufficient for this device.

If you’re looking for something for a child, the Nabi 2 seven inch tablet is available for $99 during the same time period.  One drawback is it has an older version of android, 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.  However that shouldn’t be a problem, as this is aimed at children.   A 2MP camera and Bluetooth are nice features, as is the Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor.  The device has over 100 applications pre-installed that are designed for kids.   With 1GB ram, 8GB storage and a microsd slot,  you can add as many apps as you like.  Besides a mini usb port, a mini HDMI port is a welcome addition.  And you can see the cover is designed to protect it from drops.

There are other tablets available, but these two are(in my opinion) the best choices they will be offering.  Need some cheap Christmas gifts, or something for yourself?  Maybe Walmart is the place to go and fight the crowds this weekend.
