Barnes & Nobles Cuts Nook Color, Tablet Prices

Earlier this year, when Barnes & Nobles launched it’s Nook Tablet, it dropped the price of the Nook Color from $199 to $169. In another price cut, the Color has had it’s price dropped down to $149. At the same time, Barnes & Nobles has also slashed the Nook Tablet’s retail price.

Originally the 8GB version of the Nook Tablet sold for $199, with it’s 16GB variant going for $249.  Now, the prices have been reduced to $169 and $199, respectively.  The price drop will immediately make the 16GB device more attractive to buyers than the Amazon Kindle Fire.  Also, with Apple rumored to be releasing a smaller iPad, this would be a good move make the Nook Tablets more competitive.  These price cuts are effective immediately at all outlets.
