Jelly Bean Alpha on Notion Ink Adam

Resident developer Borkata has released an alpha build of Jelly Bean for the much-maligned Notion Ink Adam.  While it currently has no audio, it does have hardware acceleration implemented.  The list of working items includes-  Wifi, Bluetooth, 3G, Sdcards (Sdcard is internal Microsd is external), PixelQi switch, GPS,  and Accelerometer.  In addition to the audio not working, neither internal nor external cameras are working, and the compass is also out of commission.  However, it is very fast in operation.  Downloads from the playstore are quick, and installation of the apps is amazingly fast.  There are, so far, none of the “Program not responding, do you want to wait, report, close” windows yet for me, in limited testing.  No root access yet, but it will surely come in further builds.  For a first effort, it is surprisingly good.  Quadrant score is low at around 1900, but the cpu scores 4442, and 3D score is 2126-both excellent scores.  For some reason, the I/O is only 878, which is dragging the overall score down.  Linpak is averaging 60MFLOPS, but you can’t always go by numbers.  The os is very fluid, and switches between screens, opens and closes apps, and generally executes operations very smoothly.  With sound enabled, this will be a very nice rom.

    Hi will

That’s great news. I am currently using CM ICS 4.04 on adam and it’s already good. Will try jelly bean once it has audio and camera too.
