Trying to root Thrive. Installed the USB ADB drivers ok. Having issue with the thrive_0029_root_boot.img. Winzip cannot open. Not sure how else to flash Thrive boot partition? Also on the root of Thrive I have no /system/xbin directory. I’m sure its me not doing something right. Can you help. I did root my Droid X.

I wanna root my Toshiba Thrive and I followed all your steps but when I get to the step: Select the boot Image to Flash: Option # 2 (my software ends in 32)
nothing happens I get a message on my pc’s screen saying
and thats it nothing happens after that

when i do the easy root after selecting 0032 it says waiting for device and nothing happens

Hi I have Toshiba thrive at105-t1032 sometimes when am surfing the web or checking my email the browser shuts down without any warning, one time I turn the thrive on an it was asking for a pass word which I never set up but it wouldn’t get out of that mode I have to do a recovery an lost everything, but my main concerd is the browser shut down can u help please, an also u have great video info thanks you..
My Thrive running HTK55D.31.5.0002 has not fastboot option. Have tried ‘power’ and ‘volume up’ buttons together. Also, ‘adb devices’ shows the Thrive, but ‘fastboot devices’ does not list it.

And there was i thinking i could just go and buy a Thrive and an USB drive and everything was gonna be fine…

i not sure what a root is and is safe to do my thrive and my browers soo slow and ideas on how i can speed it up
