    Ubuntu Touch - up to 290313 armhf

    Will fill out in due course

    Installation

    Prerequisites
    Download the following (will these up at some point):
    Base system zip from scanno Ubuntu Touch 25/02/13 build
    Modified boot etc from myself What about UBUNTU touch on VEGA ?
    The 2502 image of Ubuntu Touch armhf from the section below.
    And ~1.5GB of free space in /data (ext4 partition).

    In TWRP:
    wipe cache and dalvik
    install quantal-2502.zip
    install base system zip
    While still in TWRP:
    Extract the UT-boot.zip file on the PC and open a terminal/cmd window in it, connect usb and issue the following:
    Code:
    adb push boot_new.img /sdcard/
    adb push libc-2.15.so /data/ubuntu/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/
    adb push setrecovery /system/bin/
    adb shell
    chmod 755 /system/bin/setrecovery
    flash_image boot /sdcard/boot_new.img
    Or copy to sdcard and use advanced=>terminal commands replacing adb push with cp in TWRP

    Ubuntu Touch Version.
    25th Feb armhf build will boot, get a copy here Dev-Host - quantal-2502.zip - The Ultimate Free File Hosting / File Sharing Service (You will also need the libc-2.15.so from above with this build)

    I would supect that any armhf build prior to 29/03/2013 will boot.
    Scanno has 25-03 running.

    Ubuntu/Canonical just keeps the last 3 dailies hosted here ( Index of /ubuntu-touch-preview/daily-preinstalled ) so if you can't get a known running build (there's one up there ^) wait until the base system is fixed to work with the current builds.

    Working:

    Very little, only install if you want to take a look, really isn't usable at this moment.
    There is no need to wipe /data so nvflashing/CWM back to android will bring you back to where you where prior to install.

    Not Working:

    Default - unmodified

    Modified ubuntu-session

    GRID_UNIT_PX=10 QTWEBKIT_DPR=2.5 FORM_FACTOR="tablet"
    screenshot5.jpgscreenshot6.jpgscreenshot7.jpgscreenshot8.jpg

    Almost there but keyboard is still cut off, not gonna post any more screens shot as they're similar to the above but the values below solve the keyboard issue.

    harmony.conf
    Code:
    GRID_UNIT_PX=8
    QTWEBKIT_DPR=1.5
    FORM_FACTOR="tablet"

    @All,
    Just install this zip file instead of the base system mentioned in the first post. It has setrecovery and the modified boot image already inside.
