Do you use the 'advanced wifi lock' app?
    Thanks for your reply

I have re-flashed CM 10.1 - 9d, set it fully up, set CPU speed to 1200, set WIFI to disconnect during sleep (Settings/WIFI/Advanced), and CPU Spy reports that after 7 hours my Vega only spent 2% of the time in
deep sleep and all the remaining time with the CPU running at 216MHz. So how do you manage to get your tablet to go into Deep Sleep?

    Hi MikhailM
    Like you I re-installed CM 10.1 Alpha 9d
    and overnight (midnight until 0730)
my Vega registered 7% deep sleep and the remainder @216Mhz. I also would like to know how to get it to deep sleep.

What are you guys using to change cpu speed and to monitor when it's in deep sleep?

With 9d it is still getting sod. Sometimes it wakes with mouse input, but never from touch screen input.

With Alpha 9d you can just use Setting/Performance/Processor to change the CPU speed and if you tick the Set At Boot box, it will retain it after re-boots. I use CPU Spy to check how the CPU runs over time.

If you first nvflash Alpha 5 or 7, partly set it up, go into CWM and wipe everything, then using CWM flash Alpha 9d and then immediately the correct gapp file (20121212), then boot and fully set up, you should not get SoD. At least Starsky, I and many others do not get it.

I followed MikhailM's method and still got SoD. So for fun, I decided to go back a try a few other roms (CM7.2, Modaco r8 etc.) Since going back to ModdedStock, I then tried MikhailM's instructions again and, sure enough, no more SoD.

    So, in a nutshell:

    NVFlash ModdedStock 1.10 v2
    Boot and configure
    NVFlash CM10.1 Alpha 5
    Boot and configure
Reboot to CWM and Full Wipe (+Dalvik Cache)
    Flash Alpha 9d zip
    Boot and configure
Reboot to CWM and Full Wipe (+Dalvik Cache)
    Flash gapps zip (20121212)
    Boot and configure

No more SoD, but still gets a little laggy after a while so now looking at disabling journaling on SD (when I can figure out Linux Mint and which device to use!)
