    Vega Space - 16gb SD

Ok Guys go easy on me because I am not very techy

Anyhow, I've got Vega and have run all the different custom roms I love messing around with it but after a while of using it I seem to always run into space issues.

I have seen mentions of app2sd style apps to help the problem and I've also seen posts about ext2 partitions on the sd card to create more space.

I've just got myself a 16gb sd card and was wondering if some nice person could explain to me the best way to set up this new SD card and which apps to use to maximise usability of space please.

I don't mind doing a fresh rom install either as I fancy trying out VegaBean

    Thanks

    hi,
    i always do these steps:
    1) insert sd into vega;
    2) rebooot into clockworkmod
    3) advanced > create partition (all your data will be deleted)
    4) 1gb partitioning and 256 mb swap
    5) reboot normally.

    6) install link2sd from market.

    bye

    Hi

Would advise against using swap when partitioning SDCard as it tends to
shorten the life of the card. But it is your decision.

To make it worse, if the sdcard is already being used for /data, the swap partition MIGHT make everything slower...

Is it possible to use a USB flash drive or something for swap?

There are other solutions for increasing RAM... take a look at the last pages of VegaBean, about the ZRam topic...
