Regarding the Vega Performance Boost app i have downloaded it and installed it and i have too agree with you it does make a differrance to the tablet

Regarding the lag with the internet, for example if i log into facebook once logged in the loading bar will just continue to spin and try to load the page up? i know the internet is fine within my home as i have checked on other machines.. The problem just seems to be with the Chimera I Hope i have made this issue a little clearer for you Ged Im not the best at explaining things

    Cheers Ritch
Diagnostic Test: install Opera Mobile Browser (http://play.google.com/store/apps/de....browser&hl=en) and then try your FaceBook account with it...

WebKit based browsers, like the standard stock browser, Dolphin, Maxthon, etc, were ALWAYS problematic under VegaComb/HoneyIce... particularly with JavaScript/Adobe Flash heavy websites...

The only browser I found fast and reliable is Opera Mobile... which is non-WebKit based.

Cheers Ged I downloaded the latest opera browser but it seemed to freeze up on a few occasions, so i managed found an earlier version of opera mobile and this seems to be running better.
I would never of known about the browser issues if you had not mentioned it
So as for now the Chimera rom seems to be running great.
Thanks one again for all the help and your patience Ged its appreciated

    Not a problem, tmmv1...

That whole WebKit browser problem is a hangover from VegaComb... indeed, Newbe5, VegaCombs creator, recommended Opera Mobile as his preferred browser of choice.

When Areo began to release unofficial updates to VegaComb, his original intent was to remedy the well known problems with the stock browser. Those updates to VegaComb eventually snowballed into a completely new ROM in it's own right - HoneyIce Chimera...

... but Areo never did satisfactory resolve the WebKit browser issue...

And I don't think he ever would... it's just an intrinsic, inherent flaw at the heart of Android 3/HoneyComb...

    ----------------------------

Anyway... ruminations aside... good to see you're getting somewhere....

Incase anyone else get the above problem this is how i fixed mine

1st hold power for 10-15 sec to power off unit
2nd unplug usb and power for 10sec
3rd plug power and usb in and wait 10sec
4th use apx combination as folows :- back (2sec), back + pwr (2sec), pwr (2sec)

You then get a blank screen once you see this go to your chosen nflash and install it.
    Job done

NVFlash mode without a power lead

I have written about this method before, but since there seem to be some new members/visitors who may have missed that post, here it is again.

If you need to enter nvfalsh mode when you are away from your charger cable, you can still enter nvflash mode on a Vega or similar tablet -

    1) Connect your tablet to the PC/notebook with your USB cable
    2) Press the Power button until the tablet starts to boot-up (screen lights up)
    3) Immediately release and then again press and now hold down the Power button until the boot process stops and the screen goes black.
    4) Now immediately press the Back button for two seconds
    5) While still holding down the Back button press the POwer button for two seconds
    6) You should now hear the ping sound of the tablet connecting to the PC.
    7) Release both buttons - you are in nvflash mode and can flash a nvfalsh rom.
    8) If you do not hear the connection sound and the screen lights up again - repeat the process from Item 2).

Works for me and quite a number of other members.

This rom is the best for me. but i've problems with some app.
Candy crush saga, for example, start to flash screen and i can't play it.

do you know why and how to fix it?

    EDIT: incredible.
i'm trying Candy crush saga on HoneyIce3.2.7RC3.0.2x and all works perfectly.
    how is it possible???
please fix it, because HoneyIceRC3ChimeraUpdate is more fast than HoneyIce3.2.7RC3.0.2x.

    Help me.
    bye

The author of this ROM is no longer actively developing for the advent vega. So I do not think there will be a solution for your problem with this ROM.

    hi all,
is there any app or any solution to extend or move /data into another space (maybe into the microsd)?
my tablet with this rom goes quite well (the interaction with gmail isn't very good, cause gmail cashes always when i try to share by mail any web page from the stock browser, for example...) .
But my very big problem is /data dimension.
    tnx everybody
