    Mega fast... Butter smooth... but heating my vega beyond reasonable values and smelling like its gonna blow... Nandroid backup and back to Corvus... Dont know if i'm just being paranoid but looks like there is a heating issue. Great work otherwise!

    Truly fantastic work, thank you very much for turning the Vega into such an impressive tablet!

    You can indeed. In /system, you'll find a file called build.prop - edit this file in notepad and change:

    ro.sf.lcd_density=160
    to
    ro.sf.lcd_density=140

    You can also try a value of 120 if you so wish, which is smaller still but does introduce a few minor bugs. Personally I use 140.

    You can either edit this file in the zip and re-flash with CWM or edit on the device itself and then reboot.

    Are you actually getting burning smells, or is the tablet just getting a bit warm? The latter is normal, and is due to the hardware acceleration stretching the legs of the tegra 2 in a way that 2.2 based roms never did.

    Cheers,

    Sorry but need to for a computer to nvflash your Vega to the modded stock as the partition sizes are no longer 'out of box'. It should be worth the wait, well I think so.

    I have a problem

    I was running test 44 ........ flashed V2 no probs at all, went into recovery from V2, installed 3.2 zip from SDcard but it wont load up, basically all im getting is what appears 2 b constant restarting

    The screen lights up, the back light remains on for about a minute, then the screen goes off ......... if the USB is connected 2 my laptop, i get the alerts when light comes on n when light goes off, but nothing happens, i dont even get to the splash screen

    I have tried 3 times so far, including re-downloading from an alternative mirror, but each time the exact thing happens

    Am i doing something wrong? n if so what is it?? lol

    Talking

    So far I noticed the following:

    - Running very speedy and stable
    - WiFi isn't working anymore after the screen has turned off (can't activate)
    - Most Apps aren't localized

    Question........

    "I'm not a smart man"..........

    Currently using VC 1.7, which was installed over moddedstock version 1 as I believe.

    What do I do now to update my Vega?

    I have downloaded VC3.2 and also moddedstock v2.

    What do I do now?

    Any simple guides? Do I have to wipe the whole thing and start from scratch?

    Advice welcomed.

    TIA

    SP

    I also noticed that Plume looks like it does on mobile, File Station Tablet is "incompatible with this device" and Kindle Reader forces closes when trying to open a book.
    The IMDB app FCs too.

    Thanks for the hard work.
    Argggh, should have checked kindle, don't think any of us had time to be reading books.
