    Cool [Deprecated][EASY-Install] ClockworkMod

I saw some people having problems with CWM, or having problems with ROM Manager on the vega, and I was already using this 'easy' install I did... so I decided to make it available here in this forum.

    the file is here r4-vega-recovery.zip
if I packed the correct files, it SHOULD work without the SDK installed.

it's the original Paul@Modaco recovery packed with an easy installer. It is meant for the Advent Vega, but I've heard it works on the POV and others that share the same hardware.

    The process is simple:
    - download the file
    - extract the zip to some folder on your PC (e.g. c:/cwm/)
    - in your vega go to Settings -> Applications -> Development -> and make sure "USB Debbuging" is checked
    - connect your vega via USB to the PC.
    - the first time you do it, it will ask for the USB driver. You can grab it on the official vega homepage: Advent | Vega Internet tablet in the downloads section.
    - after the driver is properly installed open the folder you extracted the files (e.g. c:/cwm/) and double click the Install_Recovery.bat file
    - you will see a black screen with grey text.
    - if this screen stays for only a fraction of a second and closes, it failed, please check the windows driver, the vega settings to USB debbuging and/or the USB cable.
    - if this screen screen stays for a lil longer, you see a few commands going on and then it closes, you know it worked fine.

you can access CWM by going into your apps and select 'Recovery'
the 'Recovery' app does not work with VegaComb yet (as in Beta1a), to access recovery in this ROM you should connect the USB, and double click the Access_Recovery_VegaComb.bat file.

    have fun...

thanks! this is the simplest way i have found to install CWM on my POV. I have vegacomb 3.2 and when i double click Access_recovery_vegacomb. bat, mi POV just reboot, but not in recovery mode, a normal reboot. what happens? I can't access my backups!
