I have already seen you in Ubuntu's touch hall of fame.

Are you using motorola's xoom image?
As I saw in the paste bin... it detects a tegra processor but only one core (in a very fast reading.........not paying attention too much).................

No, I'm not using Xooms. I am using mine. Xoom is for Xoom, Streak 7 is for Streak 7. The underneth layer is device specific, and then you put the generic ARM stuff on top of it.

So I think I figured out why its not starting up screen.

    Code:
or quick reference, these are the current components used from Android:

Linux Kernel (stock Android kernel provided by the vendor, with a few changes to support some extra features needed by Ubuntu)
    OpenGL ES2.0 HAL and drivers
Audio/Media HAL and services, to re-use the hardware video decoders
    RILD for modem support
    And from my logs....

    I/SurfaceFlinger( 94): Client API: OpenGL_ES

    I/SurfaceFlinger( 94): EGLSurface: 8-8-8-8, config=0xcaf32c

    I/SurfaceFlinger( 94): OpenGL ES informations:

    I/SurfaceFlinger( 94): vendor : NVIDIA Corporation

    I/SurfaceFlinger( 94): renderer : NVIDIA AP

    I/SurfaceFlinger( 94): version : OpenGL ES-CM 1.1

    I/SurfaceFlinger( 94): extensions: GL_EXT_debug_marker GL_EXT_bgra

    Hello Giveen.

First of all------------------------------------->Good Work, don't hesitate
Second (this could be a nonsense):

Contact Canonical.........they must have access to documentries (and supposely "open" drivers) about Tegra 2 which was one of the first processors they were experimenting first with success (AC100)

    https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ARM/TEGRA/AC100

I know (as you told me yesterday) that there is an specific underneath software per device but a Tegra 2 t20 is a Tegra 2 t20 of course camera and gps are going to make war and interfere and that there will be different motherboards but Canonical should have that information as they have been "arguing" about "drivers" with Nvidia since the beginings of times....and suppossely Nvidia "leaks" incomplete information througt a back door (this is an opinion.....of course it could be ..........A NONSENSE!!!)

I hope your work was helpfull to try to no to depend any more of Android updates with missing Dell support...once Ubuntu was on the streak could be updated (....and upgraded??)....even connect many usb hardware devices not supported in "Dell's" Android (although PDMI conector is a "dffdsjsafdjwqetdfjasfdhjsagfagfdaghjdfa" and very difficult to find in Europe) .....and we could happily and "securely" use the Streak a pair of years more till battery breaks (Time, I hope....to upgrade the device).

I feel very grateful to you where you get............Thanks a lot Giveen

    Good luck!!!

I've been working with them all day, its not a display issue per say, but a failure of the UI to load.

So the issue is that when I put in the correct items to the kernel defconfig file, they are not being put into the .config file, by which the kernel is compiled from.

well i'm certainly interested in seeing this on the streak7 for me i've always wanted a desktop os on a portable device such as my galaxy s3 or my streak 7, android has been the closest up to now and the arrival of these new Os's is amazing in my eyes, half of the smart devices out there are capable of doing more than my old desktop from 1995 so for me this is where things should be going, and with the likes of Google Glass and Oculus rift, before long i'll be living in my ideal world where i can escape the mundane with the flick of a switch and place myself on a beach in a warm country, truly believing i'm being hunted by zombies basically all im saying is thank you from me who is a true hardware geek, for you the guys who have the patience for software

Hello Giveen........you have get very far in 4 days........you are really closed to get it........... Rome wasn't build in a day!!! (you would do it in two or three )

The case............ that's not your fault but phablet tools or a bad environment configuration...check if you have all the correct versions of the tools you are using to the process... as you know a simple change in a tool....the variables changes and complile process breaks.

Have a rest.........tell that to Canonical if they can check everything and help...as you know all the proyect is in an alpha stage and tools could have problems...and before than after someone is going to have your same problem and you will find the problem.

Tou have just done too much............................THANK YOU
