Visual Land Firmware Prestige Pro 7D

The Pro 7D is the refresh of the Prestige 7 by Visual Land. It shipped with Android 4.1.1 (and Google Play) Even though it is Similar to the Prestige 7, they used different hardware, so images for the Prestige 7 WILL NOT work with the Pro 7D

The Pro 7D uses a Rock Chip processor, so the previous generation of Visual Land tablets (all of which had Allwinner processors) used Livesuit and PheonixCard to flash new system images. The Pro 7D uses an entirely different method.

Once we have stock firmware, and can do some tinkering with custom ROMs, we will have instructions and such posted here.

Instructions for Re-flashing a Tablet with a RockChip processor.

    +power the Pro7D off completely.
+hold the Volume+ button while you plug the tablet into the computer
+Select proper driver from the unzipped location.
+wait for driver to be installed. (this can take a little bit of time)
    +open the RK flashing tool
    +select to flash the tablet.
+grab a coke and relax while the computer does the work.
+The tablet will go through a format and reboot. (it will show a green android with a wire-frame-Dodeckahedron in its belly)
+Once it starts to boot, unplug from the computer.
+Give it some time, The First Boot takes a while.

At the moment, I don't have a custom ROM for trial, nor links or a video, but rest assured that when the time comes, there will be a video tutorial, and links.

    Question Need Bootloader

Anyone have access to the bootloader for the Visual Land Prestige Pro 7D? It's running Jelly Bean 4.1.1 and using RK3066. I was trying to switch the vold file so I could use the external SD card as my internal (NAND) SD and vice versa, but when I rebooted my tablet, all I managed to get to was Visual Land's splash screen, then Jelly Bean's splash screen, then nothing. I tried a few things like holding down the power button to boot up, using the reset button, tried to get into recovery mode, etc., etc., but nothing worked. Then I tried flashing the backups I had (one from a factory rest, so it was like brand new and one with additions to my liking), but even though the flashing tools I used gave the appearance of seeing the tablet, flashing failed each time I tried.

Seems I bricked the device and the only thing I could figure was that the internal SD was not actually being 'erased' prior to the flashing process because the device's internal (NAND) SD no longer thought of itself as the internal SD thanks to my switching the vold file. It's the only thing I could think of that was possibly not allowing the flash to correctly complete the process. I have no proof of my theory, but next I thought if I could wipe the partitions, then I'd know for sure that the internal SD was indeed erased and THEN hopefully flashing one of my backups would work. If I did that, however, I'd now need a bootloader as well.

Thank you, in advance, for any advice you could provide and would be greatly appreciated.

Hello. This is a request to anybody that may see this and can help. This is an emergency SoS to anybody that may have the stock ROM for the Visualand Prestige Pro 7D. (or any ROM that works). I have obviously bricked mine and turned everywhere for a ROM that works and unfortunately came up empty. I have even contacted Visual Land support and politely asked them for the image file just to be told NO that they don't do that. But was told I can send it in to them for servicing with no other information provided. I ask if the right person sees this and can help, please message me. Greatly appreciated, Thank you.
