Hello and welcome to the site.
Have you tried a reset while it is plugged in? Are you using the AC adapter to charge it?
The USB port is larger then your computers USB port? Can you post an image of it?
I found this forum from searching about the prestige 7 and watching the videos on You Tube by Macktion.
A friend of my wife bought the tablet for her father but he didn't like it so my wife bought it off of her as a surprise for me.
Last night I turned it on and messed about with it a bit. The battery was low so I powered it off and then plugged in the charger. It showed the charging animation for a few mins and then went off.
Went to turn it on this morning and it wont turn on. I've tried the reset button and holding the power and volume buttons for 15 seconds. If I plug it into the wall nothing happens either.
I'd like to figure out what the problem is as I quite like the tablet and it was half the price of new. I also have a question about the usb cable it comes with. The larger end is the wrong gender to plug into my computer's usb port.
The cable is a usb host cable. That is why it doesn't fit in to your pc. It's meant to be used with thumb drives and other usb plugged in to your tablet.
I went and dug through the box to find I mistook the proper usb cable for the headphones
Plugging it in via usb it now powers up but nothing with the ac charger
Thanks for taking the time to reply.
I'm letting it charge up via usb now. I'm not sure if something happened with the ac charger or not. I'll have to look at the manual to see if it lists polarity and voltage and get a new adaptor.
Looking forward to using it mainly to access crap off my desktop (pdf's and movies) so I'm sure to be frequenting this part of the forum.
If a new charger is too pricey you can always buy something like this Link to Amazon. Also, ignore where it says apple, some generic manufacturer made this and the Apple in the name is so they get more hits with searches. I have one like this that I keep with me wherever I go, charges up all my devices that have a usb cable with zero problems. Been using it for over a year now on everything from my wife's iPod to our HTC phones or my Zune.
Thanks for the idea mate. I have one of thise from my old ipod.
