    Question Power Port Charging Issue

Has anyone had any problems with the power port? One of the two that I bought will now not charge through the power port.
If I push and hold it in, it will charge. But as soon as I let of of the plug, it doesn't.

I have not experienced any problems, but then I left my charger at a hotel in New Orleans (same with the extended battery for my droid ) and have been using exclusively the usb port. Anyone else?

I can't speak for Visual Land in particular, but it is a pretty common problem. The little metal clip inside is probably not bent quite far enough to make and hold contact. If it is something you cannot live with contact their customer support. There are only two solutions I know of and one will void your warranty. The first is a little wedge of foil to insert with the plug, long enough to easily pull out. The other is opening the tablet and using a pin to bend the contact, hence the voiding warranty part. If you have some kind of tiny probe you can sometimes bend the contact from the outside, but it is a pain.

Cool if you haven't already try the other charger as well. I got a FT3 one time that didn't have the little sleeve in the center so it didn't make contact with the post correctly.

    Rabid,
I did try the other charger. Confirmed both chargers works, its the port on the tablet.
There is no way to get anything in that port to even attempt to fix the pin. Luckily, I got an RMA from VL yesterday.
I am asking about the turn around time as my family is going on a vacation and the girls want their tablets!
