Question Rooted Android Market and Google Gmail Not Signing Me In??

    Hi,

I successfully (partially) managed to root my Nook Tablet. I say partially as when the rooting completed (NookandZorgy.bat completed), I got a Gmail app error message on my nook when my nook completed the rooting. I clicked ok, and then my Nook rebooted.

I managed to install go luancher (using a side-load method as I had the apk app on my memory card already).

However, here is where the problem comes. I successfully was able to access the Android Market, but then when I try and download apps, I get asked to sign in. But when I sign in, I keep getting an error message saying that my username and password is invalid.

Now, without stating the obvious, YES, my user name and password is correct, and yes I successfully can access my gmail and android market account on the web, and yes I have typed it in correctly, so I am really stumped as to what could be wrong.

Are there any suggestions or recommended solutions?

Also I noticed on the Android Market that my HTC Desire is listed under the devices to download to. Should I not also see my Nook in the drop down list??

The same goes for the gmail app, which I also side-loaded as it didnt appear to install during the root process. It also doesnt accept my user name and password. But clearly I am able to access my accounts via the web.

Could it be because Im not in the US (Im in South Africa) or because of the region settings on my nook perhaps? Is there perhaps a Google restriction??

Please if anyone can walk me through a solution, it would be much appreciated. Its really frustrating not to be able to sign in to the market or my gmail

    Problem solved :-)

Removed 2-step verification from my Google account, and managed to sign into Google via my HTC.

    Works at last :-)
