How to Unroot, Reformat, Return to Stock for Nook Tablet One Click by Albert Wertz

Albert Wertz Demonstrates how to perform a one click return to stock app for the nook tablet. This apk UNINSTALLS and Completely removes all added apps to the Nook tablet and returns it to Factory restore settings. Just as if it was NEVER Rooted. Thanks Indirect!

Well im assuming that it just deleted the superuser crap and busybox crap. Then it wipes data which clears everything else. Its not an unbrick it just ensures no root and no apps designed for root show up. Guessing you know this but just in case.

yes, thank you for that clarification. There is a method of unbricking that involves a slight hardware modification that is being discussed at the moment. This may also gain us access to bypassing the signed boot loader. Fingers crossed. When the method is perfected I will make a video demonstration of that too.

So, I tried this, but it did not work. I 'm guessing the reason is the Nook never got fully rooted. It did not have the superuser installed. We got this Nook used. As I was trying to root it, I got to the part to run Nookandzergy, It saw the device, I answered yes and I got a message that said "Your device was found to be rooted". In the message it pointed me to try one click unroot app. So here I am. I went back into the Nook and re registared it. So it's as default as I can get it. I'm not sure where to go from here. Is there a file or folder that is still in the nook that tell nookandzergy that it's rooted?

I am not sure why it was taken down, but it is the same thing as the 8 failed boot reformat, it just forces it in an app. Try to boot 8 time and continue to hold the power button to turn off. do this 8 times in a row and should force a reformat. Let me know if this doesnt work.
