    do these settings look right?
    root@android:/ # cat /sys/devices/tegradc.1/mode
    pclk: 74250000
    h_ref_to_sync: 1
    v_ref_to_sync: 1

    root@android:/ # cat /sys/devices/tegradc.0/mode

    v_ref_to_sync: 2
    h_sync_width: 136

    v_back_porch: 21
    h_active: 1024
    v_active: 600
    h_front_porch: 34
    v_front_porch: 4
    stereo_mode: 0
I get a reboot as well so you may be on to something. Lollipop changed how refresh rate is calculated too, but reverting to Kitkat method didn't help. fb1 bits_per_pixel was 0 when hdmi was connected as well, although couldn't change the value. I guess the mode output is okay.

UPDATE: fixed the nvdps reboot issue in kernel, will return 0 if it can't retrieve the value and it returns correct value now for hdmi which is 60, but still no video output...

    UPDATE2: here is the new boot.img: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6...RmM&authuser=0
    and hwcomposer.tegra.so: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6j...ew?usp=sharing

I reinstalled your cm11 to repeat the above tests.
hdmi works, the mode settings are the same,
    but : cat /sys/class/graphics/fb0/device/nvdps
causes a reboot in cm11 too so might have to look elsewhere?

i see a lots of tech talks of which i cannot make heads or tails.. (or even figure of if it has head / tail ! ) ...i am really happy :P....
i would like to make a request though...would it be possible to reduce the choppiness ??
(like adam sometimes doesnt recognizes the touch , just freezes for a 3-5 sec before it comes back.. )

Try turning on Battery Saver mode in Battery Settings, this should limit background activity and may actually help with that despite what it says about reducing performance.

one setting I always change is "window animation scales" in developer options.
If you drop all three of these down really low, or off, your adam will be really snappy.
Also turn off things you don't need like gps and 3g.
