    [KK-ROM] Tenchi's UNOFFICIAL CM11 Android ROM 4.4.4 KitKat for ADAM [WIP][2015-01-18]

This is a build of the latest CyanogenMod 11 Android ROM which I quote:
"Based on the Android Open Source Project, CyanogenMod is designed to increase performance and reliability over Android-based ROMs released by vendors and carriers such as Google, T-Mobile, HTC, etc. CyanogenMod also offers a variety of features & enhancements that are not currently found in these versions of Android."

The ROM is pre-rooted and does not require extra SuperSU installation.

    Overclocked by default to 1.6GHz.

For more information see: CyanogenMod | Android Community Operating System

You will need the latest ClockworkMod Recovery 6.0.4.7 to install this ROM and may have to increase system size if installing full Google Apps package.

    Install Instructions for Windows

    1. Download from links below the ROM, any updated boot.img, google apps if needed, and ClockWorkMod.
    2. Extract ClockWorkMod recovery zip.
    3. Connect Adam via usb to computer.
    4. Set Adam to nvflash recovery mode by holding Volume - and power on.
    5. Goto driver manager in Windows and you should see some APX device, and right click on update the driver for this device.
    6. Set Browse driver to Drivers/Driver32-bit/ and install.
    7. run "flashrecovery.bat recovery.img" in command line and wait till it finished flashing or drag recovery.img onto flashrecovery.bat.
    8. Transfer ROM.zip to your sdcard on Adam.
    9. Reboot Adam while holding Volume + to go into ClockWorkMod recovery.
    10. Wipe data/factory reset. (This will wipe all data from your internal sdcard and the cache).
    11. Install ROM.zip in ClockWorkMod.
    12. Install Google apps.zip if needed.
    13. Install SuperSU.zip if need root access.
    14. If you don't need to update boot.img skip to step 17, reboot while holding volume - to go into nvflash recovery again.
    15. Copy downloaded boot.img into your nvflash directory.
    16. Run "flashboot.bat boot.img" in command line.
    17. Restart after it is finished flashing and you will boot into your new Kitkat ROM.

How to obtain adam logs to report problems

    1. Download ADB and USB drivers zip below in download section.
    2. Extract zip and run UniversalAdbDriverSetup6.msi.
    3. Connect Adam to computer via USB.
    4. Power on Adam with ROM you are having problems with to capture log and do what you did you get the problem.
    3. Launch Windows command prompt and type cd "path to platform-tools".
    4. Type "adb wait-for-device pull /data/aplog".
    6. If you get remote object '/data/aplog/ does not exist' goto step 8.
    7. Type "adb pull /data/dmsg".
    8. Goto step 13 if step 4 and 7 were successful.
    9. Type "adb shell".

Both very smooth with latest changes, but the current cm11 hdmi is not working... and pa has phone issues. Like the network adb in cm11 as well which is missing in pa. So it is really a draw between the two currently depending what features you need working. Lollipop has arrived it look like the release source branch is out, hopefully will have a working build soon!

You need to use katkiss nvflash package and do full download again, but alter the value for size= line below
    [partition]
    name=APP
    in android_fastboot_full.cfg
I set mine to size=800000000 and am able to get full google apps package and hopefully large enough to prepare for Lollipop as well.

hey again Tenchi. i resized it and installed the image. but now it won't boot properly. it starts up and then crashes. i also tried going back to Kit-Kat and i keep getting the error message "Encryption unsuccessful" and it tells me to restart the tablet. also when i am in Clockwork, it fails to format the "data" partition or sd card 1. they seem to be inaccessible.

i tried changing the partition size back to the original setting and dropped the image on it again, but still have the same issue.

    Hiya,

I came out of a similar situation yesterday...and followed the advice received on this forum.

If the kitkass nvflash does not reformat your partition......nvflash Eden which please download the NV flash file from the below link.

    https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ce6m8n940kntxew/VEVR37Qiaq

and then nvflash CM9-ADAM-BETA-AIO- you can get this from this forum in JB section - [JB-ROM] CM10 for ADAM [WIP] - Beta 3.0 + CWM Recovery 6.0.1.5.

Of course you will need CWM 6.0.4.7 as been mentioned on here...

Then you can flash Katkiss and you are good to go.....but make sure you that before you INSTALL the ROM you do a full wipe/clean.in CWM..following the below:
    1. Wipe cache
    2. Go into mounts and storage
    3. Mount data and then format data
    4. Mount cache and then format cache
    5. Mount system and then format system
    6. Come back to previous screen and install ROM procedure.

Good luck...I am on Pacman 4.4 and it was never as smooth and silky.after this clean install....and ...will be trying other Roms that Tenchi has uploaded...!

The kernel has not changed, must be something in the ROM itself causing hdmi rebooting... Lollipop is coming along and is booting Just trying to get the proper selinux settings now to get rid of FCs.
