    this is my aplog: --------- beginning of /dev/log/main E/logwrapper( 102): executing /system/bin - Pastebin.com
and this is my dmsg:<6>[ 0.000000] Initializing cgroup subsys cpu <5>[ 0.000000] Linux versio - Pastebin.com
I was not able to get a kmsg.
Tenchi, looking at the error log from above, I think this will be why adb/usb access is problematic here.
I always use "ro.serial" as the variable name, as I have found that using "ro.serialno" was unsuccessful in some of the kitkat roms.
    1. init: property 'ro.serialno' doesn't exist while expanding '${ro.serialno}'
    2. <3>[ 8.231457] init: cannot expand '${ro.serialno}' while writing to '/sys/class/android_usb/android0/iSerial'

    found the problem.

    user error.

the way i install roms is to mount the usb storage from cwm and then copy the files in the explorer to whatever drive gets mounted.
    this works for most devices.

    BUT...

I just partitioned the internal sdcard to have a 7gb data partition, so not a lot is left of my external storage.
not really understanding which storage was located where, i was confused when i connected my usb storage and it only showed 260mb. there used to be a lot more of that. so in mounts and storage i formatted the sdcard, thinking this might solve the problem. maybe a bit was wrong somewhere. this worked but on the downside, it also removed the data partition.

that is why i could not mount it anymore. so i repartitioned under advanced (/data is mountable again)

so next step is to send the zips with the roms over adb to sdcard2, which should be my removeable sdcard. (which can not be mounted using cwm. ) then try to flash again.

    update after flash:

yes it is working again. it is still slow, but i guess the speed should pickup after a couple of days? hours?

    installed gapps minimal..
    youtube videos play fine.
Turns out /system/lib/hw/camera.tegra.so was not built so copy from an older ROM and camera should work.

well done for getting it up and going
another way to install the rom is with adb sideload.
    shouldn't be slow? to check:
    adb shell
    cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_max_freq
    cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu1/cpufreq/scaling_max_freq
    mine shows overclocked to 1.4Ghz

fyi: Tenchi, in settings the "Performance" control only adjusts cpu core "0", leaving core "1" at 1.4Ghz.
