[ROM][ICS]Ideapad K1 Official Release - Lenovo Community
As most of you know Lenovo released the official ICS build for the Ideapad K1 today. The new bootloader will not allow me to boot into recovery partition, so no custom recovery for now. Unfortunately the build released by Lenovo also does not include Google Apps. I have added in the latest Google Apps package including Face Unlock, and rooted it.
I posted two versions of the Rom both rooted and not rooted. The non rooted is 100% stock with Google Apps. The rooted has the latest Superuser.apk and su binary and the latest busybox, and the boot.img has been modified to allow adb remount.
This will wipe your entire device. You will lose all apps and data. I am in no way responsible for your device, as always flash at your own risk.

1. Does my tablet need to be rooted to install this? A: No. You can flash from any ROM. In fact, your tablet doesn't even need to be bootable.
2. How do I spoof my config file to get full Market compatibility? You have to modify build.prop. I don't know how to do this myself.

Flashing Guide
For those of you who haven't the slightest clue how to flash and can't be assed to read the PDF:
Steps (for Windows):
1. Install the APX drivers for the IdeaPad K1 onto your computer.
2. Put your tablet in APX mode. This is done by holding both the volume keys down while you boot your tablet. When it reaches APX mode the two lights around the home button will be on and the screen will be black.
3. Connect your tablet to your computer with the USB cable.
4. Unzip the package Khanning posted and double-click "flash-windows.bat".
5. Wait 'till it's done; it will reboot by itself.
6. Done.

If any of this is wrong PLEASE tell me. Don't want to mislead people here.
