No. You can check it here VID 20111007 205112 - YouTube
The Search and Home (#1 & #2 from top) not working, some times the Menu and Back auto working without any touch on it![]()
It seems you have defective touch. The solution to disable it is to have a kernel with driver for capacitive buttons not included.
I can use Notion Ink Adam Setting app to disable it on beast rom (Beast ROM v2.2.1), I have tried but this app does not working on ICS
This is very problem due to Back key auto working (without any touch on it) will exit current running app![]()
The capacitive 'back' button is connected to S3 (sensor input 3) on the Synaptic OneTouch SO340010.
If it is operating uncontrolled that suggests some foreign material has got between the outer glass and the sensor. It is possible to re-tune the sensitivity of the capacitive buttons. It is also possible to set a 'de-bounce' period. The default is 10ms but it can be set to 50ms.
Can one just unload the kernel modules?

mr Nipple,( can we call you nipple?)
your amount of knowledge amazes me.
fantastic, you could help us in a very big way.
however..... although we all known quite a lot about our machines, we do need more knowledge to be able to change any of the settings you mentioned.
so please eloborate on your post a bit more.

Im still looking for a way to disable all captivate button![]()
@OP, If you are still looking for solution. then i got some cheap solution for you.
Environment/Pre-Requisite:
1. Tested on EdenX2.7
2. Install and configure button savior first.
3. Your device should be rooted.
4. Some file explorer should be on device, Which can write on system files (change permissions etc). For example: I use Absolute System App which do not require any extra text editor to edit files; there are many more free and paid, just gave an example. Please check in market.
Procedure is Simple:
1. Go to system>usr>keylayout then file > qwerty.kl
2. Change file permissions so that you can edit file (Tick all in permission box).
3. See line >
key 158 BACK WAKE_DROPPED
Change this to
key 158 BAC WAKE_DROPPED
I have just miss-spelled the word BACK to BAC to break the code line. This will disable all the capacitive buttons. Except volume-up volume-down and hardware back key (sideways push button).
4. Save the file/changes
5. Revert back the Permission back to original file parameters (See the permission box of other files in the same folder, fix as per other files)
6. Reboot
Note:
1. I also felt that my Adam became more stable after this mod. I suspect that some of the capacitive buttons started malfunction which result in wake-up issues and app crashes.
2. I'm not a developer or even close, just discovered this by some hit and trial method and obviously Google.
3. I guess, it'll be great if developers keep this button mapping and disabling hardware key thing feature in ROM's.
Hope this helps for people who just want to disable hardware capacitive buttons for some or the other reason.
