The external sd card is emmc in Deadcreame. The internal sd card is sdcard in Deadcreame. To preserve any data before you format theinternal sdcard, copy and paste it to an external sdcard or to a dropbox account. When you want to restore, just copy and paste it back to the internal sdcard. In Titanium Backup you can change the backup location to the external sdcard, that's how I currently have mine setup. I have done it both ways and they both work.

    • In step 3: copy/download CWM to the internal SD (renamed update.zip as indicated), and

download the other files to you computer.
    • In step 6: select "Install update.zip from internal SD Card".
    • After step 7c: mount USB mass storage and copy the ROM and Gapps zips to the internal

SD from your computer. (Menu directions: Select <mounts and storage> then <mount USB

      storage>
      ).
    • Unmount the USB mass storage, disconnect USB cable, and proceed with step 7d and 7e,

      selecting <Internal SD card>.

I know that this is pretty obvious for many users, but I just wanted to add my 2 cents to ensure

that the guide is completely monkey-proof.

If something in the guide above isn't working for you, read everything again and do it step by

step, it works, there's no magic step missing.

Except for these changes I followed the guide step by step and found it very simple, helpful,

and completely dead-on, thanks erian_7!! Can I have a banana now?
Good point on using the internal vs. external cards both working. I'll integrate some notes for

this. Definite banana for you! I need a banana smiley...

attention. As you mentioned at step 8, a stream of text with sound appears every time I boot my

Adam. You also said it is normal. But my question is normal for initial boot or for each time

    when you boot. Please advise.

    Thanks again.

    Alex
Glad it's working for you! The stream of text appears every time the device boots (at least for me). Every once in a while (usually after I've loaded an app for testing), the stream changes and I see error messages, boot loops, etc. at this stage. Every time this has occured, I've been able to fully recover without reloading the ROM by wiping the cache and Dalvik cache.

preserved? Do you need to backup everything to your external SD or is the Titanium stuff stored

outside of the areas where you're formatting?
As noted above, you can move the Titanium Backup to an external drive, and that is indeed what I do. I set my TB default directory to the external microSD so that if the device has a catastrophic failure I don't lose my backups. If you have the full version, there's a built-in option for storing your backup to Dropbox as well.

I'll integrate some info for this into the primary post, as it's definitely a good thing to bring up early so folks don't inadvertently blow away their backup.

Why is not possible to use the standard recovery mode? I mean, without install CWM.
    Doesn't It work?
And if I install CWM. The standard mode is overriden and I need to install it again?
I am a little bit lost.
    Thanks.

When I tried loading the ROM using the stock recovery, my load was very unstable (I don't think it even booted--only tried it once as a test). The developers would have to say for certain, but I believe the ROM is packaged in such a way as to require CWM for proper installation.

If you load CWM and later want to go back to stock, you'd do the NVflash process and just stop there. This brings you back to the latest released recovery from NI.

I was trying a lot of roms since I have my Adam, and this is the only one, not supported by the stock recovery... so I don't understand why is not possible.

Yes the rom requires cwm, our attempts at using the very dated stock recovery came back with mixed results, mostly a bunch of fail.
