Sorry, I don't get it, you downloaded my ROM andere VPN didn't work? If so, what kernel did you use to patch? Sorry for being stupid :-D

From the first post I downloaded the version named "---DOWNLOAD without Clemsyn Kernel---", and with this the VPN (I am using the VPN Connections package) crashes. I had this issue on several ROMs, and it turned out that the tun module is missing.

Then I downloaded the file boot.img from the link for the git kernel, which is the same link you were refering to in your first post. I swapped the boot.img from your zip file with this one. With this combination the VPN doesn't crash .. it even works :-)

Not sure if I am comparing apples with pears, but the two files named "boot.img" definitely have a different size (your download: 3.586.048 Bytes, the git download: 3.258.368 Bytes). My understanding was, that they should be identical(?)

By the way ... I needed some time to get used to them, but I really start to like the new fonts :-) Looks somehow more fresh ...

Yeah I did'nt like them at first too, but now I personally don't want to change them anymore :-)
Thanks for that clear information, I worked with different kernels and I may have mixed them up, uploading new one right now.
    Sorry for that :-)

No worries .. thank you very much indeed! Glad that I understood your intention with the git based kernel correctly :-)

running the new rom and liking it. This is my first exposure to Beast core and loving the speed. Not quite used to the auto correction feature of the keyboard though, can I turn this feature off ?.

GPS works and I installed the new 5.7 maps which let you download map tiles, i think thats the new feature anyhow, seemed to work fine.

Not sure if this is a known issue...I mount a usb stick (sd card to usb adapter) and still indicates no drive detected but can read files. I can play music but no info about song is displayed. I can see picture names but cannot view actual picture. Cannot copy from usb to adam memory even one song as I get a insufficient memory prompt. Are these known issues on Beast ? I using your 1.5ghz rom.

I installed cromnia yesterday and everything seems to be working fine. I installed the w/o clemsyn version over beast with stock recovery without wiping data and it worked like a charm. Now allthough the speed is more than satisfactory I am tempted to try the clemsyn version which I'm currently downloading. Wouldn't I be safe to flash again without wiping?[lol toilet humor not intended]

I have just tried, and for me there is no drive detection message (at least I couldn't find one), but the usb stick is shown in ES File Explorer as "/usbdisk", and I can copy files from/to it ... guess this is not a general problem then.
