I think you need an intervention

On another note, my HDX is acting up. It uninstalled apps, then installed other apps from the cloud. Then it refused to print emails. And some apps have a little spinning circle on the icon and say"installing" , meanwhile they are installed , and work. So I called May day, they checked it out, couldn't find anything, and had me do a reset. Then a tech called, and after like 2 minutes said they will just send me a new one. I want to be sure I save my progress in shadowrun, I put some decent time into that game. They've been doing a lot of updates lately which may have caused the problems.

I can't remember where but I read that there was an issue with some updates resuming properly if you power down during the download or before they install. So mine is never off. I just pop it onto the charger when it gets around 20%. Supposedly the last big system update fixed this.

I also saved 440 because people have reported that the Ouya controller works perfect on the Fire TV. PS# controllers might as well.

Ok I am not going to be able to sleep until it get's here. Amazon has pulled a couple of reviews about sideloading and one that claimed ROOT!!!! One mentioned Order&Chaos and GTA San Andreas but I read a blog about side loading, adb over wifi is built in, XBMC works perfect sideloaded. AAAAAAAAAHHAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

As an adult, most of my enjoyment at this time of year comes from watching the excitement in the little ones. :-P

That's better than the Hdx, they can't root that at all.

Well to be fair they had root. I honestly think the HDX is still too new, Amazon is probably one of the best companies as far as bug fixes and updates, but that also means more opportunity to break/prevent root. I think a stable root is still a couple months down the road.
