Proposal of some guides / teaching material

    Hi,

First off, this is my first post here and I want to introduce myself. Im better known as Bumble-Bee, iv worked on quite a few devices (Advent Vega. HTC Desire HD, HTC Sensation and the Asus Transformer)

I would like to propose a few helpful guides and some learning materials.

Firstly a guide on helping people start compiling there own kernels.

Secondly a few very basic android java learning materials (Build your first App / HTTP & JSON communication).

If anyone would like either of those please let me know here and ill get writing

Simple, a really useful tutorial, since you worked on Transformer, should be:
Updating the kernel from an existing ROM:

1- I have that ROM and want to modify one think from it
2- I take the source code from there
    3- I modify the kernel
    4- Compile it again
5- Backup the current ROM, if needed
    5- Flash the ROM
6- Enjoy your new kernel modification

    Another interesting Tutorial
How to create the ROM and include the new firmware that have just been release.

From that user and Newbies could experiment easily. i think the hardest part is to found where to found the resources...

    thx

I would also be really interested in these guides. I have Java/c++ experience as well as a small amount in building cm from source and stuff like that. I'm having a hard time getting started with tablet rom development and every time I ask somebody questions I'm mostly told that I just need to read more. Which would be fine if I knew what I was supposed to read. Lol

some great idea's, would it be poss to edit thread title as soon as any tutorial is ready, am currently doing the sdk tutorial's which seem like a good start for learners, might be an idea to paste a link to them as a starter.
