Well, for the most part an android tablet is the same as a phone, except for the making calls part. It depends on which operating system you get, probably have 2.3 on your phone, while most tablets will have 3.x or 4.x. Still very similar, and going from the phone to an android tablet will be pretty easy. I would suggest going to a Best Buy, or some store like that, and actually trying out a few tablets, android and ipad. Having them in hand is different than looking at them on a website, obviously. Depending on what you plan on using it for, you can probably get an android tablet for less than the ipad, with more connectivity and expandability. That's just my opinion, though, I like android.

... of course if you already have an Android phone, and have paid for some apps - you should be able to download them onto your tablet at no additional cost (assuming they are compatible... most are).

It is better to know some of the questions than all of the answers.

There is not much difference in them. They have different basics but yeah their concepts are almost similar. Tablets are there to remove laptops and PC's, While phones are used for its regular purposes only. It is almost similar to use Tablet and phone.
